The training will begin August 16 and should be completed by August 20.

The Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue will provide parachute training to search and rescue technicians at 19 Wing Comox August 16-20.

Training is essential to ensure that the Canadian Armed Forces are able to meet the needs of Canadians during search and rescue operations or when called upon to assist emergency health services.

The weather conditions each day will determine the flight schedule and the prevailing winds will determine the flight path of the aircraft. It is essential to ensure that participants are able to land safely in the designated drop zones and an increase in aircraft noise resulting from these activities can be expected.
